Ukraine WOW Announces its Winter Season and Updates: Crimean Gold, Shchedryk Performed by the Homin Choir, and Winter Photo Zones

In just 2 months, Ukraine’s most popular interactive exhibition has been visited by over 160,000 people. As a result, Ukraine WOW has raised over 6.7 million UAH in support of Ukrainian museums. Due to high public interest, the project will continue into the winter season: the updated exhibition will open on December 4 and run until January 11.

The Ukraine WOW interactive exhibition features more than 100 artifacts (from Hetman Ivan Mazepa’s saber to boxer Oleksandr Usyk’s championship belt), alongside dozens of interactive zones. Visitors can travel across Ukraine using VR headsets, feel connected to outstanding Ukrainians of the past, and take pride in today’s “wow” achievements that occur despite full-scale war. Since September 26, 2025, over 160,000 people from all regions of Ukraine and more than 30 other countries have visited;. 25,000 of them free of charge.

“We thank everyone who visits Ukraine WOW despite shelling, power outages, and air-raid alarms. Those who travel here from different corners of Ukraine. Those who celebrate their wedding anniversary here, propose to their loved ones, or film original content that later spreads across social media. We are happy to announce that the exhibition has been extended until the end of the school holidays and that new exhibits can soon be seen at the location. First and foremost — a display featuring Crimean gold, preserved in the Treasury of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine. This is part of the collection for which our country fought nearly 10 years in a Dutch court against Russia. Also on display will be Panteleimon Kulish’s 1857 Hramatka — one of the first Ukrainian primers. In the Music section, visitors will find a VR recording of Shchedryk performed by one of the most popular Ukrainian ensembles, Homin. Updates will also appear in the hall of modern Ukrainian trophies: new additions include Elina Svitolina’s cup, Olympic medals, and Anatolii Kokush’s Oscar statuettes. We believe visitors will enjoy the MAGURA naval drone model and the huge ivy hat created by Ruslan Baginskiy for the window display of Galeries Lafayette in Paris,” say Yaroslava Gres and Julia Solovey, Co-Founders of Ukraine WOW.

Among the new exhibits, visitors can see:

  • Crimean gold from the Treasury of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine: earrings, torcs, bracelets, wreaths, pendants, medallions, and rings from the 1st century AD, along with other valuables;

  • Panteleimon Kulish’s 1857 Hramatka;

  • a model of a MAGURA naval drone;

  • an ivy hat created by Ruslan Baginskiy for the Galeries Lafayette window display in Paris;

  • Anatolii Kokush’s Oscar statuettes received in 2006 for outstanding scientific and technical achievements in cinematography;

  • 2 NA’VI cups: the Aegis of Champions from The International 2011 (Dota 2) and the Intel Extreme Masters V Hannover 2011 trophy (Counter-Strike 1.6);

  • Olympic medals won by Ukrainian athletes across the years;

  • Elina Svitolina’s WTA Finals 2018 trophy.

The following installations and photo zones will be updated:

  • the most popular Ukraine WOW photo zones — the Tunnel of Love and the pond with water lilies — will freeze;

  • in the Artists zone, winter landscapes by Viktor Zaretsky will come to life via neural networks;

  • miniature replicas of the halls of the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine will appear, allowing visitors to peek inside;

  • in the Music zone, visitors using VR headsets will be able to step onto the stage of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and listen to the Homin choir perform Mykola Leontovych’s famous Shchedryk.

The Ukraine WOW interactive exhibition was created by the Ukraine WOW NGO and the Gres Todorchuk agency, in cooperation with JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. An ongoing development, the exhibition also draws expertise from a key group group including business school lecturer Valerii Pekar, philosopher Anton Drobovych, historian Oleksii Sokyrko, and curator Kseniia Malykh. More than 300 people have worked on the project. Key partners of the project include Avrora, ROZETKA, Visa, InterChem, and Bolt. UPG is the exhibition’s dedicated winter partner.
